Game REVIEW: LOTR War In The North

First of all I’d like to tell you that I’ve been huge fan of LOTR since Fellowship of the ring has released for the first time.  I hope most of you guys like LOTR and if you do, you will definitely enjoy this game..you will say NO_WAY DAMN!!! THIS IS COOL…you will worship it...you’re going to scream AYE!!! I KILL ORCS…lol

It is role-playing video game developed by SNOWBLIND studios. The main events taking place in the northern side of Middle Earth at the exactly same time as Frodo’s quest to destroy the rings. Sauron’s hand has reached even to the north and his royal servant called AGANDAUR was conquering North. So you have to stop him before North falls.

You will take control of one hero and able to play as your hero through the game.

Three main characters are available for you to choose.

Eradan: Dunedain Ranger

The ranger of North. He has many great skills. He is great archer as well, so he can easily take down his enemies afar. Also he can use either two handed sword and one handed sword. In my opinion he is most skillful character in the game. Using his stealth ability to take down several enemies in the same time and cut of their heads using his special abilities..he is so cool. Agility HERO I suppose.

 

Farin: Champion of Erebor

He is champion of Dwarves. A true warlike warrior and he is the most pain enduring character in the game. Which means he is kind of Strength hero. He has skills to send massive wave to the enemies which cause huge amount of damage to them. Also he has ability to strengthen his alias in the battle with war-fury skill.

Andriel: Loremaster of Rivendell

She is a Elven sorcerer I’d say. Even though she is a loremaster, also she is very capable in the combat. But her main power is to create healing and protecting light to support her alias. Those skills make her very useful and necessary character.

 

The game consists of 7 chapters and each chapter has several tasks and quests to complete.

Most of chapters sort of difficult to complete...6th chapter was most difficult for me..I played one scene for 10 or more times…each time I just got few punches from trolls and trolls are really pain in the ass. 7th chapter was easiest chapter beside rests. Last BSS AGANGAUR wasn’t like I expected. Anyway!! But until you reach the last chapter you have to do lots of things and you’ll fail so many times I’d say.

You will travel to so many different places like forests with nasty giant spiders, fortress with black sorcerers and guys with huge hammer, ruins with lots of orcs, cold mountains with snow giant and troll..by the way..trolls are everywhere,mystic tombs with full of undead and freaky souls etc…

Graphics

Graphic is good. Not as much as graphics which I’ve seen in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit…But it’s enough  graphic to feel the environment and tone. So I give 8.5 out of 10.

Sound

Very epic and cool sounds. Soundtracks are really great. But actually voice acting is little bit of sparse. Which means 8 out of 10

Gameplay

Battle with orcs and trolls are so epic. Combat is good, but sometimes I felt  kinda DejaVu, which means combat moves and skills are so repetitive so that might bore you little bit. And it’s 8 out of 10.

Overall

Definitely you will enjoy this game and of course it’ll takes quite time to finish it. Game has plenty things to do. So it’s a great game. 8,5 out of 10
